But again you dont 'have' to be working while on EAD (as you are an adjustee) and they decide based on the original company's ability to pay. You can work even for/by yourself (self-employed)

I took home loan from SYNDICATE BANK, Hyderabad 3 yrs ago. The rates were reasonable and I'd recommend them, but you have to compromise little on service. You can directly transfer money from US to Syndicate bank.
My question here is I didn't knew that we can save money in the form of tax deductable/excemption here in US on interest paid in India for home loans. Could you please let me know further details? If possible the CPA who you worked/working with for tax returns.
Your help is greatly appreciated.

Hello,
I am just showing you my ignorance but what is it about.My wife works in DC right now and very active in fighting for our cause,she is a nurse.She has few correspondence with few senators and congressman but it will be great if there is a bigger force behind it all.please let me know how we can help.I too am tired of waiting in a limbo,the uncertainty is too much and by the day I get so discouraged and sometimes on the verge of giving up.

My I-140 approved at TSC on 02/23 and my attorney received the approval notice.
But the online status is still showing the case as pending. I thik TSC is offline on the status now.

Just came back from the SoCal IV meeting today which was held at Woodlands,Artesia between 3:00 to 4:30 P.M today. It was nice meeting all the 14 members from IV. I am pretty sure Drona will post the minutes of meeting pretty soon!

I got a email notification from my attorney just now that my I-140 is approved with priority date ported from EB3. Not sure whether I should wait few weeks before initiating interfiling process.

Preparing for future is one thing but if you think that this is a valuable thread then go with it and enjoy, i just find it disheartening that people are trying to undermine whatever has been achieved by such threads (Like i said, he might be completely right but is there a need to tell it this way) and what are you going to prepare for the future ;) Do you know it ? (If you do, please keep it to yourself and enjoy or cry about it). Right now, i want to be positive and enjoy the fruits of what IV has done to get some relief, why use negative logic to undermine it and that is what i am saying. I do not believe the 800,000 figure for I-485 alone. It could be a misquote from Aytes. The 800,000 is possibly combination of all immigration related applications such as I-140, 485, 131, 765, etc.
Even during last year when EBs are current, it didn't reach that many applications. I believe Matthew OH is more accurate in saying there's a total of 320,000 I-485 applications.
With that figure, average 2.5 years waiting is in order. But that should not be distributed equally among all countries due to per country limit. I would guess, for India and China, it would be 3 years wait, and for the rest, 2 years.

this is a 2004 EB3 approval! This is the first one I am seeing from 2004. So looks like they have really cleaned the pipes here, and things should be better going forward.
The nicest thing of this whole fiasco is that they seem to have ignored country-limits and approved as many as possible. The Congressional Hispanic Caucus has successfully blocked consideration of all immigration legislation until amnesty is brought up for a vote. Unless and until the issue of amnesty is resolved, we aren't going to see anything. On the other hand, if amnesty is voted down, then expect to see just about everything else passed.
The good news is that the jobs bill is ready to pass the Senate within the next day or two. On Thursday, they are going to have the health care summit. At that point, they will either decide to push the health care bill through via reconciliation, or go into extended negotiations with the Republicans. Either way, it definitely looks like a window might open up for CIR in the next couple of weeks.
The above is what Ron Gotcher (imminfo.com) says rather gives hope for the future!
Positive attitude and optimism helps the community but many a time the profit making motive of those in this business may want to create hope and sensationalism among the community for their own business interests - nothing wrong though, but people who are desperate, may percieve it in such a way that it is instant good news and glorify the messenger.
