Folks,
I have a question regarding travel while on AOS. We are on H1 and H4 (primary and dependent) but do not have the H1 and H4 visa stamps. Planning to use AP.
When we leave the country, do we need to drop the H1/H4 I-94 stubs from the current visa approval forms OR the I-94 stubs issued during last entry? Ofcourse the I-94 nums on current visa approval forms and on visas last entered are the same, but different visa statuses when last entered US.
Thanks...

Hi everyone:
Can someone suggest if I'm in a hot water over this issue. My company applied for the labor certification back in Dec. 2002. In the Labor Certification form they quoted 40 for the "Total hours per week". The LC was approved back in July of 2007. Later in Sept. of 2007 we filed I-140 and I-485 concurrently.
In April of this year my company received an RFE for the I-140, where USCIS requested some additional translations and my W-2 forms for all the years of my employment. We've responded to it.
So here's my question. Since 2002 my working schedule changed and now I work 32 hours per week, that is different than 40, which was included in the LC. It doesn't say anywhere in my W-2's, but one can easily see that I'm being paid less by doing some simple math.
Do you think this would pose a problem and if so, what shall I do at this point?
Thank you in advance!

Some big compromises in the House version that dropped this morning. First, there will be $2525 in filing fees, $525 of which is due at the outset and $2000 of which is paid five years in to the ten year conditional non-immigrant period. That should presumably answer critics who complain that DREAM will add to the deficity. Also, conditional status is granted in two five year terms and the college education/military service requirements must be met in the first five year term in order to get the extension approved. Here is the new bill. HR6497

My paper filed EAD ( and for my wife as well) has been pending since June 20th.
We called USCIS yesterday separately and both times they insisted that we needed biometrics and created SR for that.
Any one else had similar experience.?
Also I was trying to search for the Thread that has suggestions / steps to take to expedite the EAD. I think I'd qualify for severe financial hardhip since both of us will have to stop working if EaD doesnt come by October 18th.
Can some one point to that thread.
THanks

Though he is undoubtedly the most famous athlete Canada has ever produced, hockey legend Wayne Gretzky is now a naturalized American citizen living in the US. Canada hasn't held that against him and gave him the spectacular honor of lighting the Olympic torch in tonight's Winter Olympics Opening Ceremonies in Vancouver.

On July 28, Federal District Court Judge Susan Bolton granted a preliminary injunction against major sections of Arizonas new immigration law which were scheduled to become effective the following day. In a 36-page decision, Judge Bolton found that the United States is likely to succeed on the merits in showing that the following sections of S.B.1070 are preempted by Federal law: * requiring that an officer make a reasonable attempt to determine the immigration status of a person stopped, detained or arrested if there is a reasonable suspicion that the person is unlawfully present in the United States, and requiring...

Hello everyone!
My wife has filed for my immigration and AOS around a week back. I would be expecting the biometrics appointment letter to arrive by the 25th of August. Now, I got a call from India yesterday informing me about my grandmother being admitted in the hospital, almost breathing her last. The doctors have all but given up.
My question here is whether I can go to the USCIS office with the doctor's letters and all the remaining proofs to expedite my AP well before my biometrics are done? If yes, what else would I require in terms of documents? I can just barely wait getting it done, but I dont want to leave without the AP document.
P.S.: I haven't yet received any NOAs.
Thank you.

push and pull, and i finally decided to exercise my AC21 rights.....
AC21 pioneers, any recommendations on picking lawyers around NYC? specifically those that are fairly responsive and charge a fair price on all the procedures / docs that come with maintaining AOS, including a possible AC21 notification letter, renewing EAD/APs....
thank you for any guidances.

The New York Times reports on an uptick in legal actions against less than honest attorneys who bilk clients needing immigration services. In my two decades in practice, I've come across a number of these cases. But they usually increase in number as people grow more desperate. The article points out that a lot of bad lawyers come out of the woodwork to target immigrants when news is circulating of possible government programs that will help people resolve their immigration problems. The article doesn't discuss the topic, but a related problem involves "notarios" - people who pose as lawyers when...

Hi,
I got my H-1b(6th year extension) approved from VSC, within a week, using premium processing. My 140 is pending. So, I got approval for only one year.
