People with 07 PD has the privilege to cheer when they cut in front of us, but we should not feel sad for being pushed back because it is a disruptive behavior.

    Please do not list what you have done to add items in the legislation to help BEC victims, it does not look genuine any more when it is considered disruptive to express one's depression on a board specially for BEC victims.

    ahhh now clear my frined eb2 he get greeen card now in last year. he spillover use good i am happy. now i get green card in a few years awway

    If you are using HP laptop...and if you didnt restart for couple of days, there is a problem. The cursor will keep jump and you end up like this.

    Remove your power card and battery. Then press the power button for 30 secods. If its your communication problem I really dont know how to reset you

    i sent an email to Senate Lieberman about the gap between the old and new system and h-1b extension:-

    You might be the only Senate who cares legal immigrants and our contribution to US economy and its future. Some immigration attorneys and legal immigrants find out that the current CIR bill draft ends the existing employer-sponsored immigration system well before the inauguration of the merit-based point system. (please refer to Sec. 502 (d) (2) under Title V � Immigration Benefits on page 264 and 265 of bill text (SA 1150). If the CIR bill was signed into law, some departments would take time to establish procedures and it might be YEARS away to get merit-based immigration system ready for accepting applications. But the bill already ends the employer-sponsored system on �the date of the introduction of the [Insert title of Act]�. Can you see the gap between the old and new systems? At the same time, extension of H-1B is not possible if the immigration application filing is less than 365 days under the merit-based system. (please refer to Sec. 419 (d) (1) on page 239). For those who are already at the second 3-year of H-1B, we would face very unfair situation if the CIR bill were enacted as it is now: filing under the employer-sponsored system were invalid but the merit-based point system were not ready to accept any application yet. Previous time elapses until the H-1b couldn�t be extended after the 6th year.

    I suggest to keep the current employer-sponsored immigration system running (accept new employment-based applications and the filing during such period is valid) until the merit-based system is able to process any applications and to reduce the 365 days to 180 days in sec. 419 (d) (1). Without any changes to eliminate the gap between the new and old systems, some of legal immigrants have to leave the current positions and the employers have to deal with unnecessary turnover.

    Hi

    All who are on H4 visa ,is there a way out that we all can write an email or letter to the USCIS or the law changing authority to change the H4 law and get right to work ,I mean one nicely drafted mail or Letter with all the problems highlighted and the disadvantages which the spouse and the H4 are facing .I am mentioning some points which we can write
    1.H4 cannot work any where in the USA,not even for an hour
    2.Green card is years away.
    3.Just be at home and keep on asking money from your spouse for everything you need.
    4.With the 65000 quote every one on H4 cannot get an H1.
    5.Every one on H4 is not necessary a computer professional or having a 4 year degree possible 3 year or may be less so they cannot qualify for an H1.

    Thats right, eventually when the H1B emploee gets Employement Authorization through GC process, the H4 spouse automatically becomes eligble to work and have better opportunities than any H1B holder. Why can't a H4 have a work authorization same as J2 or L2 or E2. Does ImmigrationVoice considered this thought and thinks as a good point to raise it to the senate in one of their efforts?

    Either u r heavily drunk or u r arguing for the heck of it. Whoz paying for whose free lunch? What proof can u or any of the core IVs show bout July 2nd reversed bulletin? There r hundreds of thousands of ppl who believe that AILA's planned lawsuit was the cause for USCIS' reversal. Agreed! IV's flower campaign made news but action? I doubt it. IV core needs to be transparent and needs to enlighten us with what IV did so as to make USCIS reverse the bulletin if they claim to have done something. If ppl were convinced of IV's actions, there wud have been a flurry of donations so far.

    The frog has lived generation by generation in that small pond. But it did not drink the pond. The pond has not dried up, nor has it become unbearable for the frog to migrate or look for fresh water sources elsewhere. U r like one of those frogs who thinx the pond is the entire world :D. What an idiot!!!

    You are at liberty to think what you do. If you do not like IV just stop visiting here and take your stuff somewhere else. You do not get on to a public forum and accuse people working selflessly that they are jerks.. get the hell of this forum if you dont like it. Normally I am not this rude but this is on purpose

    I filed my labor twice with Fragomen and got rejected in 2001 and 2002.
    Just for H1B visa extension they took more than 9 months. Although they have all my papers for months. Eventually, I had to leave my employer for good.

    Stay away from them if you have choice.

    In my case they took 10 months to file my labor back in 2001. Instead of filing my case in June 2001, they filed my LC only in the middle of Feb 2002.

    Also they never provide any update. Whenever you call them, they are always away from the desk and wanted us to leave a message. Even if you leave a message you don't expect any response from them.

    When my I-140 was approved back in 2006, they filed my 7th year H1 extension. They chose 1 yr extension instead of 3 yrs. I pointed out that mistake 3 times and i never singed the form till they corrected it. It took four attempts to file my H1b extension.

    Just wrote an email to Senator Frist for removal of country limit.

    Only time people came here in masses were when H-1B program existed and quota was very high. So you reminiscing about your uncle and aunt(when H-1B never existed), and now talking about "masses" makes no sense. So don't make a U-turn on your chosen path.Now quota has reduced and hence the struggle for H-1B visas.

    And who is talking about H-1B visas here, yes they are a privilege and not a right. iv is meant for people who have been sidelined due to unfair laws governing issual of GC's.It doesn't have anything to do with H-1B visa program and desi comapanies who misuse it.

    Go get a clear mind first

    Guys like you are not capable of comprehending the whole issue here and even if you are, you cannot articulate.
    I just said i miss those good old days before coming to america was possible for masses. There is value as long as it is limited.
    I did not look down up SW industry but loath these cheap desi companies who really raped this H1 visa program and the people standing on the streets of washington are the byproducts of that rape.There simply are not enough visa numbers. To increase them or not is that country's soverign right.And what rights are you talking about.A Visa is a privelege not a right.

    I have used Fragomen in two different situations...

    1) Contracted by my employer. This was frustrating from my perspective. I felt a little like an object, mostly dealt with paralegals.

    2) Contracted by me. This was much better, I could call the attorneys up anytime, and get an answer when I needed it. Had excellent relationship with paralegals.

    These were two different departments.

    I do think that I suffered from some less than optimal advice, filed EB3 when EB2 would have been better. That was in 2002 when EB3 EB2 EB1 for all was current. EB2 was a tougher sell to Dept Labor, but I think would have worked, attorney didn't want to risk, and wasn't sure if a downgrade would be offered if EB2 failed.

    One thing was consistent.... expensive.

    I all but begged them to send out an email to clients referencing DC rally.

    I have raised the idea with core of adding a field(s) to profile giving attorneys name/address. If we have a lot of members with Fragomen, maybe we could write a group letter asking them to send out a mass email to other clients.

    So please be civil in these public forums.

    well any attorney can screw up..so can uscis..its all luck when it comes to immigration..sad but true!

    Anyone else having problem or I am the only one?

    I worked with Fragomen for my GC and H-1B application. I didn't had any complaints/issues with them. They followed up with me (twice) for renewing EAD & AP, but I went ahead and did it on my own. One thing I've observed though with Fragomen is their administrative office makes a number of mistakes sometimes. Like for me, I got invoices in error a number of times which when I worked with my attorney were taken care of. Also, on their client portal I noticed my receipt numbers were erroneously entered, which when I reported to them were corrected. I guess that could happen in any law firm. Overall my experience was good!

    EB3 (India) moved 2 months. Good news. But then?
    What you expect for Eb3 guys? What may be the trend in coming months?

    2002....2003....2004.....?

    I dont think many labors were filed between september 2001 and Dec 2002. Due to bad market and frequent layoffs during that time. My guess is EB3 will get to 2003 soon, may be before end of this year.
