I did my masters here.I got my first job at Company A.They sponsored my h1b through masters quota and was working till feb 2007.Now I transferred my H1b to company B .Things are not working now with Company B.I have all the paystubs of company B

After graduation I didnt go to India
Company A didnt cancel or revoke my h1b.They would like to hire me again
Do I need a retransfer to company A - ?
Company A H1bvisa is valid till 2008 and Company B H1btill 2010
Does it cause any problem at the time ofextension ?

When you say these are the " ONLY REASONS", you should think twice. If your wife delivered baby on that day or if you had back surgery a week ago probably you would not be been in DC for the rally. So please dont generalize anything.I am not sure if the most efficient way to motivate people is to write bunch of threads with the words like the four you used many times.

How about having a monthy/semi monthly conf call (similar to Rajiv Khanna's call), that will probably help in making every one aware of the structure and heirarchy in IV. I am sure a lot of us want to do some thing...posting 100 times to get noticed can't really be the best way to manage the ideas.
I got a feeling that some members feel that IV run a secret community with-in IV (I am not sure how many watched the movie "The Stepford Wives" ).
I think that core members and volunters knows strategy and action plan well before others. I think there would be hierarchy within that also.

IV core seriously does not have the ability to read the psyches of each individaul member and invite them int to the secret soceity(?). Only possible way to know for them is how much active you are for a while. i dont think there are any specific paramters for that , it is a matter IV core getting convinced that u r serious enough. Not a day or two.. How long .. and how serious you are with ur ideas...

My law firm, Greenberg Traurig has been good too. Their immigration practice worked extremely hard to get the applications in-flight on Saturday. May be bcose they did not have 1000s of cases like other immigration law firms.

What is fair is that we treat everyone here (and everywhere else for that matter) with respect without regard to the country of birth or the EB category. Some are more educated than others, some are more skilled than others, and some are more lucky than others when it comes to green card but what is common to everyone of us is that we are in this mess together. To be honest I don't think we are here to figure out what's best for United States, we are here to get our green card, live the American dream, and make the best out of it.
Therefore, let's not make this GC journey anymore difficult than it already is by fighting amongst ourselves about who is more skilled and who is more deserving. Besides, constant bickering among the IV members will only further divide and alienate more members and won't help us in any way so I suggest that we avoid doing/saying things that has the potential of dividing or alienating members.

I wonder if anybody noticed the cyclic pattern of dates for EB3 India
Every time it hit Nov 2001, the dates were made unavailable and the cycle started again from early 2001.
I wonder what is going to happen next month??
I think the cycles will stop now... you should see a steady forward progress during the first 3 quarters & a jump (minor or major depends on spillover) in last quarter...

I have no problem with IV. I enjoy this forum and I really liked the that they did the rally last year and the flower campaign. I would like to do something about this whole situation (see my idea for The Two Cents Campaign (http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/showthread.php?t=24962)). I just have problems parting with money :) without knowing what I'll get.

ok, so u like the concept of rally. Well, that's a good starting point. You know how much money is needed/spent to do a rally. I attended Sept-2007 rally. So I could see how much money was needed. It was made possible for people like me who contributed, and the rally would have not happened if it were for 2 cents people like you who want to see the balance sheet and EPS (earning per share) :p before moving your a$$. Its not about throwing money at a problem, its about seeing these guys in action and knowing from experience their passion, energy and willingness to work on my issues. You will never know because you were not there. I can try to make you understand but still you will never know. But as I said earlier, I am in no mood to spoon feed you or anyone like you anymore. For now, I would ok even if folks like you would just drop dead.

sorry, i missed the obvious. In the links i posted earlier and also on I-131 instr page, it clearly states that Bio-Metric is a must for 1) Re-Entry doc and 2) Refugee doc, but not Advance Parole. duh! :-)
But i think when u e-file they ask for FP even though its Advance Parole.
im paper-filing now wiht no FP fee.

Shows you the general herd mentality on this forum. As long as everyone is thinking the same way, everything is great. If you differ, everyone will call for a ban on you. There are lemmings everywhere. Unfortunately, I had to come to this forum for news. I have never seen such a bunch of dimwitted people at one place...
I generally really like this place but for the past week I have had about 5 moments where I've sat at my computer with complete disbelief at seeing people get banned or yelled at in mass just for being pessimistic or for not agreeing with others' opinions. You'd think it'd be due to cursing, or anti immigrant feelings, or constant spamming/waste of posts, etc, but no, all you have to do is disagree with people. Now who's this guy who inspired the flower movement and what was he about?? right.

needhelp...maybe instead of country of chargeability we should ask for grouping by country of birth; this is an actual field required in the I-485 form.
You are right about priority date. It is not a field available in the 485 form. in the 485 form we reference the approved I-140, which is the only place where your see the "Priority Date" field.

NEW, Horizontal spillover system

The above will be definitely true for FY2009. It might be a little less for FY2008 as they changed the system mid-year. EB2 will become current by end of FY2009 to 2010. Without legislative action, EB3 will get max relief then - vdlrao is correct.

I dont mean to discourage folks here...
But here is what I have seen more often with MBA. Techies like programmers, business analysts in IT sector have done their MBAs from good schools and ended up doing the same job EVEN WITH GREENCARDS.
I have seen GC holders doing MBA and then after finishing MBA ending up with same job description with a 5% increase in pay.
So please do your research in HOW MBA is going to help you in your situation. Your job and your INTENDED JOB POST MBA may not really need you to have an MBA. And I have seen this way too often. So think before you pluck down 30,000 dollars on a degree that might do little benefit financially after you complete it.
But nothing can discourage me more than Visa Bulletins each month. But starting this thread has promted me with the idea of FREE MATH TUTORING BY IV. Gets positive media attention hits the nerve..

Personally I think there are no more than 8000 applications left. How I arrived at this number..
Total EB1+EB2 visas = 80,000
Per Quarter allocation= 20,000
Discount factor for dependants = 2.5
Application Left = 20,000/2.5 = 8,000
So the question is how many application are left before Jun'06?

So far there have been around 100k approvals in EB3 category out of about 170k (unused family visas made available to emploment based category) approvals in employment based category. Out of that EB2 approvals are around 50k only. Now the scenario would be like 100k approvals in EB2 and out of that 50k would be exclusively for EB2 India, leaving very little share to china. Now you could presume how fast EB2 runs.
