May be you do not know the meaning of three red dots for TheOmbudsman (it used to be two red dots this morning), which is "so many IV members do not like his postings" i.e, TheOmbudsman is "anti-IV"

I hope they have some kind of link with DOL. Because my approved labor case status changed from Certified to Data Review and back to Certified.
Where did you see the change in case status? Do you have access to the PERM system? Are you the employer/representative of the firm responsible for PERM??

In addition, the amendment proposes an additional 140,000 immigrant visa numbers for employer-sponsored merit immigrants, and would create a quota exemption for certain highly skilled immigrants who have at least three years of U.S. work experience. Regarding the H-1B program, the amendment would eliminate the 20,000 ceiling on cap exemptions for foreign nationals holding advanced degrees from U.S. universities and create a new exemption for foreign nationals holding foreign advanced degrees in the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics. The amendment would also dispense with the Senate bill's expansion of the recruitment and non-displacement attestation requirement to all H-1B employers.

Yes immigration reform was on many of their lips....all we can do is hope they consider it sooner rather than later...but who on earth trusts politicians. I am still thinking that the embittered Democrats will try to strike hard blows to pave way for a Democratic President in 2008...that is going to be there main agenda - by repealing tax cuts, calling committees on War, etc to take the Pres to task....They have called that out too many times...for us to ignore that it will be their # 1 priority.

I am not sure whether it is my HR to be blamed or my corporate law firm TheChugh who has been handling my case, no one has bothered to convey my PERM status or even my case #. I feel frustrated when my HR doesn't respond about the status.
I understand that they must by flooded with application preparation but setting up a link for me to check the status shouldn't be very difficult.
I really hope that my PERM gets approved before 31st July so that I can file I-140 and I-485 concurrently.
Anyone else has experience to share about TheChugh law firm?

Management announced that our US plant of my division will shut down in next 3-4 years (about 2000 employees). There are no immediate lay-offs but may start anytime,as this is a progressive multi-year transfer to out of country or to a third party.
What is the impact on 485 processing?.
I got an RFE for employment verification a week before the announcement and it was replied. Will there be any issue at the approval stage or in the future?.

They have said that country of chargeability is not assigned until case is ready for approval. However, whether or not a case is ready for approval is determined by country of chargeability.
I think pre-adjudication solves this catch-22 situation, and they have been pre-adjudicating quite a bit over the past two years. So, I dont think that this is an issue.

you dont need to pay anymore money for EAD when you apply in future. this is what my attorney said. Thats why USCIS fees is very high and its one time fess for EAD and AP.
Actually you are partly right. Only those who had paid the revised higher fee last year are eligible to get renewals for free. All those who had paid the regular fee (July filers) pay for renewal everytime
